This thinking shapes our Corporate Social Responsibility, and we give back through the Cyient Foundation with a focus on Quality Education and Digital Literacy, Skill Development & Employment, Women Empowerment Community Development, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
Key Heilights
Here are the Foundation’s Key Highlights from FY23: HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE FY2022-23
- To date helped over 1.5 lakh children gain access to quality education by providing various teaching aids, school infrastructure, health and nutrition, and ICT/IoT facilities in Cyient-adopted schools.
- Worked with 30 government schools to provide quality education to 21,000 children across India.
- Across four states in India and through 82 Cyient Digital Centers (CDCs) to provide access to IT education to 35,000 children and adults in these states. Trained over 11000 women and certified on Digital Skills.
- Trained all the Government High Schools Teachers in Wanaparthy District on the IoT/ICT usage and provided ICT infrastructure to all the 121 High Schools in the District. This initiative helped in giving access to digital pedagogical tools to over 25000 rural children.
- Through our Cyient Urban Micro Skill Center (CUMSC) and Cyient IT/ITES Skill Centers trained over 4100 unemployed youth and women in tailoring, baking, beauty courses, retailing, and bedside assistance skills, helping contribute to sustainable livelihood generation. Provided employment to 3,500 unemployed youth with these initiatives.
- As a part of our environmental initiatives, over 31,000 sq m of land in and around Cyient-adopted schools and villages was developed. Also, over 50 rainwater harvesting pits were made to help in ground water recharging.
- As a part of our renuable energy goals, two of the cyient adopted schools are fully using Solar Power and over 2500 Sq.Ft of School Building roof tops were installed with Solar Panels and generated green energy.
- Planted close to 80,000 trees in the last seven years, with a survival rate of over 85%. Received award from CII Telangana for the seventh consecutive year for these plantation initiatives.
- Cyient Foundation and Shibodhi Foundation in collaboration with IIT Hyderabad laid foundation stone for Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in IIT Hyderabad.
- Shri Dharmendra Pradhan Hon’ble Education Minister of India and Dr. BVR Mohan Reddy laid the foundation stone for the school of innovation and entrepreneurship (SCIENT) on 18th August 2022 and the school will be functional for the 2023 Academic year.
